South East England Faith Forum’s 8th Interfaith Lecture: “One Life: Exploring Humanity” was given by Dr Anthony Lewis, Chair of Windsor Humanists. Dr Lewis talked about how humanism centred on a more open and just society based on our shared humanity rather on religious doctrines and rituals. He explained that humanists think that this is the one life we will have which is why we should all make the most of it for ourselves and for others. SEEFF’s seventh online interfaith lecture was held on 5th March 2026. Shahin Bekhradnia talked about the Essence of Zoroastrianism: A philophy of life or a ritualistic religion. The talk discussed the basis for the principles and values associated with Zoroastrianism namely the verses of the Gathas which is the only original source. South East England’s 6th online interfaith lecture: “In Full Partnership: Women in the Bahá’í Faith” was held on 13 November 2025. Wendi Momen was our lecturer. Wendi Momen has been associated with the Bahá’í Faith all her life. Her grandmother, a Norwegian immigrant to the US, read about it in a newspaper in 1912 and became a Bahá’í in 1947. Wendi was born in Hollywood, California, and moved to the UK when she was 18. She has a BSc in Economics and a PhD in International Relations, both from London School of Economics. South East England Faith Forum’s Fifth Online Interfaith Lecture: Judaism: An Evolving Tradition was given by Rabbi Rene Pfertzel on Thursday 11th September at 7pm. South East England Faith Forum’s (SEEFF) fourth interfaith lecture was on 10 July 2025. In this lecture Robert Harrap of SGI UK talked on: “Trust through friendship. Peace through trust”. Robert Harrap worked as the general director of Soka Gakkai UK since 2013 until replaced by Justine Marchant. South East England Faith Forum’s third online interfaith lecture: ““Exploring Sufism, a Personal Perspective“: was held on 22nd May 2025 by Imam Monawar Hussain MBE where talked about his own perspective of Sufism. Monawar read Theology at the University of Oxford, trained as an Imam at the Muslim College in London, and holds an MA in Abrahamic Religions from the University of London. Second of SEEFF Interfaith Online Lectures was held on 13 March 2025. Richard Seebohm talked on “Who are Quakers and what are their role in ending slave trade” . Richard Seebohm is a sixth generation Quaker. He trained as a metallurgist. After a few years in the steel industry he served in the Treasury, the Trade Department and the Monopolies and Mergers Commission. In retirement he was for a time Representative in Brussels at the Quaker Council for European Affairs. South East England Faiths Forum’s inaugural lecture in the Elizabeth Jenkerson Memorial series took place online on 9th January. The lecture by Seeta Lakhani of Hindu Academy, a Hindu contributor to the BBC, who has been giving regular interviews with Trisha Goddard and teaching Hinduism at Eton College for the last 3 years, raised high interest among audience. With the closure of The Interfaith Network there is a strong need to strengthen dialogue and mutual understanding between Faiths.
