With the closure of The Interfaith Network there is a strong need to strengthen dialogue and mutual understanding between Faiths. As a modest contribution to this end, SEEFF has started a bi-monthly online lecture series. At 7pm UK time, on the second Thursday of every “odd” month (Jan, March, May etc) we will host a speaker on an aspect of religion, with the aim of covering a wide variety of subjects over time. SEEFF 2015 Annual Conference – The Role of Faith in British Schools and Education
Education and religions and their inter-relationships are in the news all the time, but do we really understand just what that connection is? The South East England Faiths Forum (SEEFF), in conjunction with the University of Winchester and the National Association of Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education (NASACRE) hosted SEEFF’s 2015 Annual Conference 3rd September, on The Role of Faith in British Schools/Education at the University of Winchester to explore that connection. The plenary speaker will be Alan Brine, recently retired as the lead on Religious Education for Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education).
SEEFF Annual Conference 2014 – Who Cares?
SEEFF’s 2014 Annual Conference “Who Cares? A Conference on Faith, Culture and Mental Health” was held on 16th October 2014, at Finchampstead Church Centre. The Conference was a joint initiative between Oxford Diocesan Committee for Inter-faith Concerns, SEEFF, Art Beyond Belief and Berkshire Health NHS Foundation. The conference was attended by those concerned with the relationship between faith, culture, religion and mental health. Participants will include mental health practitioners from different faiths and none as well as faith leaders from different communities.

SEEFF’s annual conferene which looked at the role and experiences of women in our Faith Communities and how we can all help bring balance to bird of humanity was held on 28th June at The Apple Tree Centre at Crawley. Ursula King, Professor Emerita of Theology and Religious Studies and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies, University of Bristol. She talked about the gender issues in faith.
